How can I switch this LED light on and off?

Press and hold the lamp cap switch to activate the light. It defaults to Mode 1, which can then be adjusted using the remote control.

What time duration do the different modes run for?

Mode 1 provides slight light after 25 seconds of human departure, mode 2 shuts the light off after 25 seconds of human departure, mode 3 has constant light mode after dark with 50% brightness compared to mode 1 and the dimming function can switch between white light and warm light.
